Hosted by: Macungie Pack 71 & Troop 71
Thank you for volunteering your time to help our community! This food drive is one of our most important service projects, benefiting the Allentown Rescue Mission. Your support makes it all possible.
Hanger day: Saturday, November 7, 2026, 8:30 AM
Collection day: Saturday, November 14, 2026, 8:30 AM
Check in: Macungie Institute (Troop 71 Meeting Room), 510 E Main St, Macungie, PA 18062
All volunteers must check in at the Macungie Institute before starting their routes on both days. At check-in, you will be assigned routes, get weather updates, and receive any final instructions from event organizers.
Mission: Go door-to-door on your assigned route and place one door hanger on each residence's front door. This is a no-contact activity.
Mission: Return to your assigned route to collect all food donations. Look for bags and boxes left outside, identified by the door hanger we provided.
Wear your uniform: Scouts should wear their full Class A uniform to show our community who we are and represent Scouting with pride.
Safety first: Never enter a home. Walk on sidewalks, be aware of traffic, and always stay with your buddy or a parent/guardian.
Be respectful and courteous: We are guests in these neighborhoods. Stay off lawns and gardens, be polite, and represent Scouting in the best light.
No contact, no soliciting: Do not ring doorbells or knock. Respect all "No Soliciting" signs. We are only hanging door hangers and picking up donations.
Stick to your route: Do not place door hangers or pick up donations outside your assigned route. This prevents confusion and overlap with other units.
